I Chose to Arise!
Last week, Pastor shared the story of Deborah from Judges 5.
Villagers in Israel would not fight;
they held back until I, Deborah, arose,
until I arose, a mother in Israel.– Judges 5:7
Deborah arose for her people. She chose to do something instead of settling for the status quo. This made me think of what would have happened if she didn’t arise. My second thought was whether or not I HAD risen.
The truthful answer is no. I have let hurt and betrayal from the past stand in the way of letting Christ shine in me. This message reminded me that I am in him.
He is in me. And I, Lissa chose to arise because of the glory of God in me.
