Knowledge
May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Yeshua our Lord. -2 Peter 1:2.
Dr. Vickylextar taught last Sunday on 2 Peter 1, she mentioned that knowledge is intimacy. Intimacy means to be acquainted, close to or familiar with someone. One of the biggest blocks on my journey of knowing God was myself. I had so much anger and a mix of love and hate in my heart towards God. I blamed Him for everything that went wrong in my life. To find out later if it wasn’t for Him holding me and keeping me, I wouldn’t be writing these words right now. On top of that, I was afraid of Him, I would wonder if He’ll accept, love, forgive me? I felt I had to earn His love. That’s because I didn’t know Him in truth.
Once I dared to continue my journey of discovering who He truly is, I began to discover this loving Father and His heart for me. As we continue reading 2 Peter 1, we see that God has given us everything we need to live a godly life, His own divine nature! My heart is now at peace and at rest in His grace. All this wouldn’t take place if it wasn’t for true shepherds like Drs. Jonathan & Vickylextar Sowah and their boys Alvin & Josh; they demonstrated God’s love in their actions and represent God well in truth. This process has changed me from the inside out. My journey of knowing God continues on and I’m excited to discover His love even more as I walk in His divine nature in me.
