Responsive to the Holy Spirit
In Sunday’s message, we spoke about being responsive to the Holy Spirit. What resonated with me was that I shouldn’t compare myself to others. I am running a race, and Christ sets the standard. When I evaluate myself, it’s not about how others are doing. Rather, I am to reflect and examine my performance based on my actions and Christ’s standard. If the Holy Spirit constantly leads me, I will be exactly where I need to be.
The question is, am I being led by the Holy Spirit? Because if I am, there is no need to feel inferior.
We were also asked to reflect and listen to what God is saying to us during the service. I remembered a particular message I was given some time ago. I realize that I let it go because of fear and lack of trust. I want to finish this year well, and I want Him to say, “ well done, my good and faithful servant,” so I know what I need to do. It all comes back to our theme: What do you believe?
One thing I know about God is that He surely reveals to redeem. I look forward to finishing this year strong as I submit to His Word and take the necessary actions. Even if my knees are trembling, I know that He will carry me through.
