Many are called but few are chosen (Matthew 22:14)
This week we had a family meeting where Pastor Viclylextar shared an update about where we were as a ministry and she also answered any questions we had. Let’s pause here… How awesome is that! I’m very grateful to be in such an environment.
being chosen is a response.
She shared many amazing truths, but what stuck with me was how many are called but few are chosen. This is because being chosen is a response. It made me reflect on my journey and the days where (My Calling) was so important. It became my pursuit and what I thought was my calling, became my identity. By God’s grace, I was guided to Crosspointe. Where who I am, how my life was going and my relationship with Christ became more important than what I can do for the church.
I learned…
- My true calling was to be Christ-like.
- I am loved for who I am in Him and not for what I do.
- What I do should come from a place of responding to God’s love for me, and not to earn His Love.
It’s amazing to serve God from a place of being content and whole…
Today I am:
- Healed.
- Restored.
- Stronger in my faith and redeemed.
It’s amazing to serve God from a place of being content and whole versus a place of brokenness. Take my word for it lol.
I also realized that being chosen is not a one-time thing or an ultimate goal to attain, it’s a journey. As I continue to walk with God, He will call at different times, in different ways. I will always have the choice to give the right response in order to be chosen. Not just what I think He wants to hear but a true response from the heart.
It has not always been easy, but I am so grateful for my journey.
