The Word in Your Heart
In today’s sermon, our Pastor gave us deeper insight into the parable of the sower.
In verses Mark 4:10-20, Yeshua explained to his disciples that He used parables for those outside of the kingdom to hear and understand.
As Christians, Christ has given us the ability to understand His word, but we should not be too proud to ask if we don’t understand.
In the sower’s parable, the seeds that fell on the road represent people who hear the word but fall back on their old ways.
The seeds that fall on rocky ground represent people who may hear the word but get distracted or offended by some aspects.
The seeds sown in the thorns represent people who hear the word, but the worries and deceitfulness of life take it away from them.
We are encouraged to be like that sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it and produce crop.
It is not the scripture you know, it’s the scripture you live that makes a difference.
