Choose to arise
This Sunday, Pastor Vickylextar reminded us of the scripture from Isaiah 60:1 that we saw last week:
Arise, shine;
For your light has come!
And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.
She continued by talking to us about a great woman in Judges 4-5, a Prophetess and a Judge! Deborah was highly respected in the land, and in Judges 5:1-7, we see that when she was called on to help her people, She responded by arising as the mother of Israel!
Village life ceased, it ceased in Israel,
Until I, Deborah, arose…
We were then encouraged to reflect on the areas of our lives where we have opportunities to arise.
In today’s message, we tackled the subject of doubt and why it comes. We learned that although doubting isn’t a good thing, it sometimes serves a purpose.
When we question things we believe in, there is an opportunity to solidify our beliefs. Who and what is our faith in? Listen to this message to strengthen your faith. Doubt will come, but we can be at a place where it doesn’t affect us, and we press on!
